This is a stunning wedding venue- our client operating a portfolio of 13 stunning venues nationally. As head chef you will oversee and run around 100 weddings on site annually. These are elegant venues with a demanding clientele, requiring the highest standards to be maintained at all times
Responsibilities
As Head Chef you will take responsibility for:
Day to day management of the kitchen, providing the finest fresh ingredients to clients
The ability to work with the allergens policy and kitchen management package
The ability to be hands on with all aspects of running a busy kitchen in order to maintain the high standards
Managing rota planning and holidays
Daily ordering from suppliers, monthly stock takes
Communication with the General Manager and Event Managers on site
Having the ability to see and work at other venues across our estate
Working in modern fitted kitchens with quality equipment using fresh ingredients
The ability to plan and test new dishes as required
Requirements:
The Ideal Head Chef candidate will have:
Above all a passion for good food and service
Act calm under pressure and be able to work in a small team.
Experience in weddings and conferences, 100+ covers, fine dining, together with a strong background in food led establishments.
Excellent Health & Safety knowledge -Be financially astute with good understanding of GP calculation and have strong IT literacy
Stay up to date with current food trends
At least 2 years experience in a similar role.
Outstanding communication and leadership skills
Own transport due to the location of the venue.
Hours
The Head Chef position is a full time contract working 52 weeks on 5 out of 7 days, 40 hours per week.
