Job Overview
As the Hostess, you will be one of the image (Face) of Amazonico Restaurant.
You will provide great and positive impression to all of our guests, to be open, honest, welcoming, friendly, always smiling, to shine like a great actress on the scene.
You will welcome them in the restaurant and attend to their inquiries before escorting to the table.
To ensure all telephone calls and emails are handled politely and efficiently, providing correct and accurate assistance to meet guest satisfaction.
You will interface with customers and be responsible for the first and last greetings; To focus on guest’s needs.
Hence, based on guests' priority provide the highest standards of customer care to give an authentic experience from the welcome of the service till the farewell.
Amazonico Responsibilities
- Ensure all opening, midday, closing and weekly duties are performed according to the checklist
- Ensure the reception area is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Performing relay duties in the restaurant when necessary
- Ensure all stationary requirements are met
- Ensure menus are maintained clean
- Maintain clean database. Ensuring every profile has correct information: first name, last name, personal phone number, email, title and picture if available
- Update guests’ profiles with preferences and their needs: food and drink choice; seat preference
Departmental Responsibilities
- To recognize guests’ preferences and anticipate them
- To handle all guests’ complaints in a friendly and effective way, if escalated, to report to upper management
- Maintains high standards of quality control, hygiene and health & safety
Role Responsibilities
- You will provide a courteous, professional, attentive and efficient service at all times with all departments and customers
- To well establish a good rapport and working relationship with all staff and all other departments
- To know all our Regular guests and VIP customers, recognize them, call by name and look after
- Consistently recognize and accommodate Regular guests and VIP’s
- To greet all guests with honest smile, warm welcoming, friendly attitude
- To answer phone calls attentively and assist guests accordingly to their request
- To escort guests to the bar and table, to assist in changing the tables
- To take a booking and ensure all bookings are taken correctly, with all booking policies and reservation flow being respected
Operations
- Smoothly observe guests during their meal and make sure they feel that they are satisfied
- To always act and perform accordingly to Amazonico standards
- To greet all customers in a warm and friendly manner, welcome them in the restaurant and attend to their inquiries before escorting to the table
- Efficiently use reservation systems (take, confirm, amend, cancel reservations)
- To have a thorough knowledge of the menu, wine list, digestive and bar list of Amazonico Restaurant
- To always ensure an excellent guest experience
- To efficiently use the Reservation systems
People Management
- To ensure and successfully follow daily duties and role responsibilities with team members
- To respond quickly and positively to changes within your job role, showing flexibility
Communication
- Distributing waiters notes and communicating return times on tables in a correct and timely
- Communicate all maintenance requirements of the reception department and its demise and process of timely repairs
Leadership
- To ensure all telephone calls and emails are handled politely and efficiently, providing correct and accurate assistance which meets customer needs
- To allocate reservations in the optimal way in order to meet the customer needs and maximize number of covers
- Check the book to identify all special requests, regulars and VIP customers, ensure all requests are provided accordingly (deliveries, flowers, cakes, etc.)
- Be responsible to handle complaints promptly and professionally
