SUMMARY

As a Room Service Order Taker you are responsible to co-ordinate all service requirements addressed to Room Service department, primarily responsible for guest orders from room or pool area via phone or any other channels. Food and Beverage IRD Order Taker is responsible for delivering great service to all guests, being knowledgeable and professional in doing so.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for preparations for the shift, preparing F&B working space and utensils, cleaning materials etc.
• Should have good knowledge of room service menu's and on going promotions in other F&B outlet.
• Take food and drink orders from the guests and being knowledgeable in doing so. Help guests with their questions and choices.
• Go to rooms or other outlets to take orders if required.
• Make sure guests receive what they have ordered.
• Do up and cross selling when taking orders.
• Be knowledgeable of all services, facilities and products offered by the hotel.
• Know the software in the F&B outlets to be able to put in the orders.
• Keep good communication with kitchen and F&B staff about special requests, dietary information and changes in orders of guests.
• Ensure correct posting in POS system for communication to the service and kitchen department.
• Ensure guest orders get delivered to the rooms in a timely manner.
• Make sure working space and surfaces are clean.
• Always stay friendly, courteous and professional with guests, associates and other departments.
• Take feedback from guests and notify management about it.
• Share ideas for improvement.
• If necessary, help in other outlets.
• Attend departmental meetings and trainings.
