Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee front of house operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Manage staff attendance, uniforms, grooming, and adherence to company standards.
- Prepare the restaurant for service, including floor planning, cash float management, and pre-shift cleaning.
- Communicate daily specials, VIP reservations, and guest preferences to all team members.
- Actively participate in service, ensuring guests are greeted, served, and farewelled with warmth and professionalism.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and reception to resolve any issues and ensure efficient service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and health standards throughout the shift.
- Provide training, feedback, and coaching to staff, ensuring high service standards are upheld.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure that all guests receive outstanding service.
- Complete cash reconciliation, monitor stock levels, and order goods as required.
- Manage staff breaks and ensure proper shift handovers.
- Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback to restaurant management.
- Ensure security of restaurant premises, stock, and cash.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a high-end restaurant.
- Strong understanding of service standards, health and safety regulations, and staff welfare.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage cash reconciliation and control operational expenses.
- Well-presented with a professional appearance.
- Experience with training and developing staff in service excellence.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and company policies.
- Report and rectify any hazards or potential risks immediately.
- Adhere to emergency, fire, and bomb procedures, ensuring a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Encourage awareness of health and safety standards among all team members.
