We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Sommelier to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in the wine and beverage industry within a dynamic restaurant environment. Located on the 51st floor of the Palm tower, SushiSamba offers an extraordinary experience with breathtaking views of the iconic Dubai skyline, Palm Jumeirah, and the glistening Arabian Gulf horizon. As a Junior Sommelier, you will assist in curating an exceptional beverage experience for our guests, focusing on our diverse wine and sake selections.

Principal Accountabilities

• Assisting the Sommelier Team in all tasks
• Assists guests with wine selections in a helpful, thoughtful, and gracious manner.
• Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware
• Informing guests on the variety of wines available.
• Store open bottles properly to maintain taste
• Complying with health and safety regulations.
• Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.

Ideal Candidates

• Certification as a Sommelier or a Degree in Hospitality is beneficial.
• Previous experience as a Sommelier, Wine Steward, or in a Hospitality role in fine dining concept
• Good knowledge on wines and regions of the different types.
• Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries.
• An understanding of the wine making process.
• Ability to perform manual labour
