Job Description

A renowned and vibrant hospitality brand that operates different types of venues known for their unique concept and exceptional experiences. We take pride in offering exceptional experience, a warm ambiance, and outstanding customer service. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to supervise our Bar team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the bar team to minimise, control and accurately account for all wastage.
  • Assist in conducting stock counts, analysing results and reports before generating and implementing solutions.
  • Ensure all permissible elements within the POS are updated and accurate.
  • Ordering wet stock in line with trade forecast including group sales and events.
  • Ensure daily department cash outs are completed accurately and any losses accounted for and recovered.
  • Assist their department manager with weekly scheduling by:
  • Liaising with team members on holiday and days off requests.
  • Adjusting working hours according to sales forecast to maximise labour productivity.
  • Scheduling staff accordingly to accommodate opening hours, deliveries and events.
  • Act as a liaison with drinks & equipment suppliers, as directed by management to broaden knowledge and arrange external training.
  • Creating new cocktails including specials, conducting menu analysis, suggesting recommendations of new drinks following seasonality and current trends in the market.
  • Managing, maintaining & ordering of glassware, barware and consumables, dry store items and produce working within the set budget
  • Understands, promotes and embodies the Swinger’s spirit and what it means to provide the “Swingers Experience” for every guest.
  • By consistently maintaining high standards, they lead by example and act as a Swingers ambassador and role model.
  • Supports the onboarding experience for team members in all departments through proactive engagement and training thereby promoting a culture of inclusiveness and teamwork.
  • Liaising with the management team, identifies training needs within the department by referring to feedback such as audits, health checks and personal observation.
  • Takes a proactive approach to the on-going training, coaching and development of team members, ensuring service and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Provides constructive and developmental feedback to their team that is clear and timely.
  • Acts as the champion for training new product launches and associated tasks such as testing, documentation and follow up
  • Supports in creation of new and improvement of existing training materials such as workbooks, manuals and recipes.
  • Appropriate, comprehensive and timely communication with all colleagues.
  • Represents the department at daily briefings, communicating all relevant information to the wider team in an accurate and concise manner.
  • Has a robust routine to read, understand and action company email, replying to all emails by the end of the shift and completing tasks within set deadlines.
  • Plays an active part in departmental meetings, acting with confidence to share their thoughts and diligence to listen to other’s.
  • By taking an active role/responsibility, they ensure all areas, both back and front of house, remain organised, clean and ready for trade at all times.

 

Requirements:

• Excellent reading, written and oral proficiency in English

• Must be well-presented and professionally groomed at all times

• Excellent trainer with strong motivational skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail

• High degree of professionalism, human resources management capabilities, business oriented, with energy and determination

• Proven organizational skills, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results

• Minimum of 3 Years’ experience in an upscale fast paced and upscale establishment in the same capacity
