Job purpose

Waiter is the one who have to make sure that his section is perfectly attended, with his runner help. They have to make sure there isn’t anyone unattended, that their glasses are always be full, and also make sure that no one has to wait longer than normal to order a drink.

To know customers likes, to be able to sell and to know how to sell.

Duties and responsibilities

• To set tables to laid-down standards, ensuring that all items used are clean, undamaged and in a good state of repair
• To be familiar with the composition of all menu items in English
• To serve beverages in accordance with laid-down standards, but above all in a professional, courteous manner
• To ensure that customers are correctly charged, present the bill and take payment from the customer
• Ensures best practice and continuously seeks to improve existing standards and procedures and communicates to the Manager
• Highly visible within his or her area, approachable to both guest and his superiors during operations

Qualifications

Skills/ Knowledge       

• Friendly personality who enjoys dealing with a variety of different people
• Pleasant demeanor and temperament with a strong focus on customer service
• Flexible schedule for nights, weekends, holidays, and/or split shifts as necessary
• Neat appearance and exceptional grooming habits for a professional presence
• Knowledge and experience in upselling
• He/She should have High School diploma with on-the-job training and minimum of  2 years’ experience
