Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the assigned section in the kitchen (e.g., Grill, Pastry, Sauces).
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes as per the restaurant’s menu.
- Supervise junior kitchen staff, ensuring tasks are carried out efficiently and to standard.
- Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
- Maintain inventory control of ingredients and supplies for the section.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items, including perishable goods.
- Collaborate with the head chef and other team members to develop new menu items.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a reputable kitchen.
- Strong culinary skills and experience in a specific section of the kitchen (Grill, Pastry, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality food safety regulations, and local health and safety standards.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of allergen control and food labeling in the UAE is an advantage.
