Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Performs mise-en-place during and at the end of each shift such as menu wiping, refilling of silver trays, cleaning high chairs, restroom check, pager inventory, arranging side stations and updating the server’s map.
  2. Provides precise information and address guest queries by establishing a strong knowledge about the facilities of the restaurant, its daily events & functions and social events in Dubai.
  3. Maintains a complete and updated knowledge of all our foods and beverages, outlets, services and hours of operation.
  4. Sustains a friendly interaction with guests along with providing useful  information about restaurant services and facilities like familiarization specifically but not limited to menu, designated dining areas, comfort rooms and existing discounts & promotions.
  5. Demonstrates welcoming with a warm and courteous greeting of guests upon arrival and escorting to designated/reserved tables and bids farewell at the time of leaving. Estimates wait times and handing pagers whenever the restaurant is full.
  6. Maintains  a guest history record of birthdays, special occasions, preferences of regular guests and using the same information to create a more personalized service.
  7. Monitors reservations, table allocations, waiting lists and discounts redemptions. Checks reservation book on a regular basis for next meal reservation.
  8. Ensures that standard procedures concerning billing, take aways, discounts & promotional details, shisha rules & SOP’s and outside food policies are accurately being carried out and strictly observed.
  9. Presents and menu to guests while at the waiting area and explains the restaurant pagers’ range. Courteously escorts guests to preferred tables upon availablitiy and introduces them to the attending servers.
  10. Coordinates with the bussers about open and dirty tables for cleaning and set up.
  11. Answers telephone calls, taking daily guests reservations and inquiries.
  12. Ensures effective and fast delivery service at all times.
  13. Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in the restaurant aligned with the hygiene standards by random restroom checks, dining facilities inspection, side stations and informing stewards should it require cleaning.
