Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for managing the bar and bar team.
  2. Manages procurement of all resort liquor and bar supply requirements on time and within budget.
  3. Ensures proper mixing, serving, and presentation of alcoholic and non- alcoholic drinks.
  4. Creating and ensuring that the opening and closing checklists are followed.
  5. Making recommendations and answering all related inquiries.
  6. Responds to guests’ orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner.
  7. Observes relevant health and safety standards.
  8. Maintaining complete knowledge of all our foods and beverages, outlets, services and hours of operation.
  9. Taking orders from serving staff and directly from the guests.
  10. Recording drink orders accurately into register system.
  11. Peeling, slicing and pitting fruits for garnishing drinks.
  12. Mixing and garnishing cocktails according to standard specifications.
  13. Serving snacks to guests seated at the bar.
  14. Responding promptly to requests from guests in a polite and professional fashion.
  15. Arranging glasses and bottles into attractive and functional displays.
  16. Ensuring clean glasses, bar equipment and working areas.
  17. Monitoring inventory and informing the bar manager about products that are about to go out of stock or expire.
  18. Ordering and restocking bar inventory.
  19. Training new and existing staff and managers.
  20. Checking products for quality and identifying damaged goods.
  21. Labeling and stocking all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
  22. Attending basic food safety and work safety training programs.
  23. Ensures that all utensils and equipment are functional and well-maintained.
  24. Ensures that guests’ requests and preferences on their orders are being followed.
  25. Ensures that the bar team always practices the first in first out (FIFO) approach.
  26. Ensures that the bar team strictly follows the restaurant’s hygiene and sanitation standard.
