Position Required: Housekeeping Order Taker

SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the Executive Housekeeper / Assistant Housekeeping Manager and within the limits of established Wyndham policies and procedures, execute the day to day operation of Housekeeping Department and assists in achieving the department and Hotel goals. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Must possess outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated communication skills.
  • Must be guest-oriented, have a vibrant personality, and radiate enthusiasm to assist people.
  • Answers the telephone as per Wyndham Standard.
  • Responds promptly and politely to any requests from guests. Details to be logged in the log book and convey the same to relevant colleagues.
  • Liaise with Front Office, Guest Relations and Team Leaders regarding VIP arrivals and special guest requests.
  • Ensure all guest requests special/extra items and services are delivered to the rooms promptly.
  • Keep a track of critical situations such as back to back rooms, coordinate with relevant Supervisors and Guest services personnel.
  • Ensure all movements of rooms colleagues are recorded in the daily allocation sheet.
  • Coordinate with the Supervisors and ensure that the current room statuses are updated in the system at all times.
  • Liaise with the Engineering Supervisors and action the critical maintenance in rooms and public areas.
  • Update and maintain the daily and long pending maintenance files accurately.
  • Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment.
  • Must be flexible in terms of working hours, and able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the principles of providing excellent customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
