Job Description
We are looking for a Sous Chef with experience in Anatolian Cuisine with the below job responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the executive chef in menu planning, aligning with the restaurant's concept and vision.
- Assume leadership of the kitchen in the Executive Chef's absence.
- Oversee food procurement and storage.
- Uphold a safe and healthy kitchen environment.
- Exercise vigilant monitoring.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to inspire the team.
- Provide mentorship to junior cooks and monitor their development continuously.
- Ensure strict adherence to the highest standards of food hygiene and safety.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen inventory and ingredients.
- Maintain well-stocked cooking stations, particularly during peak operating hours.
- Recruit and train new kitchen staff to meet restaurant and kitchen standards.
- Manage food and product procurement by maintaining meticulous records, minimizing waste, and collaborating with existing systems to enhance waste reduction and address budgetary concerns.
- Supervise all food preparation to maintain the highest quality.
- Ensure that all food storage units meet standards and are consistently well-managed.
- Establish work schedules and orchestrate kitchen operations to ensure seamless efficiency.
- Maintain discipline and order in the kitchen throughout working hours.
- Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment.
- Comply with the company environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
