Job Description
- Must be well conversant with the company's standard policies and procedures.
- To plan, priorities, supervise and control the day-to-day operation of restaurant.
- Oversee all aspects of the dining experience, including setting up reservations, seating guests, checking IDs, and ensuring that guests have a positive experience.
- Ensure that the restaurant follows all local health codes and regulations regarding food preparation, storage, and handling.
- Manage the restaurant staff, including hiring and firing personnel, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing all issues related to staff members.
- Ensure the implementation of succession planning of staff and staff is getting enough training and personal guidance.
- Communicate with management across the company to ensure effective running of the business as well as customer satisfaction.
- Review and monitor, with bookkeeper or other financial personnel, expenditures to ensure that they conform to budget limitations and work to improve performance.
- Keeps the track of certificates and licenses expiry for the outlet and coordinate with legal department regarding renewals and inspections.
- Follow the seasonal trend together with the management for unique selling points.
- Supervise operation of restaurant to maximize profitability, minimize legal liability, and conform to alcoholic beverage regulations.
- Develope action plans to address shortfalls in standards and identifying shortfalls before they affect customer service.
- Work with management personnel to plan and organize restaurant events.
- Review inventory and financial reports and analysis data histories for the future forecast from our system and make sure data should be safe and secure.
- Maintain order in the dining area by monitoring the volume of customers to ensure that wait times are reasonable.
- Review restaurant staff's work schedules roaster and job schedules for staff to meet business needs (taking into consideration internal activities and occupancy and external events, promotions etc.).
- Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant kitchen to determine whether proper standards of hygiene and sanitation are maintained.
- Be available to assist in operations throughout the restaurant during any busy days and special events (i.e., taking a section).
- Inspect table layouts in the station ensuring that they meet the standards set.
- Monitoring the restaurant’s cash flow and settling outstanding bills.
- Making sure the sequence of service (S.O.S.) guidelines provided by management are implemented in restaurant.
- Forecasting and budgeting the staff need for season and coordinate with HR department for planning and upcoming seasonal hiring.
